The primary purpose of the WSWGA is to hold an annual member tournament which is rotated
around the State of Wyoming, according to invitations submitted to the WSWGA Board of Directors. The
tournament is always held on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday closest to the 15th of July and it is unique
in that flights are established according to the age of the participants at the time of each annual
tournament A small modification in the age groupings was made by the board on July 13, 2009 and will
be effective starting with our 2010 tournament. (See table below showing the revisions). A Freshman
member must be at least 50 years of age by December 31st of the year of the tournament, and there is no maximum
age limit for the Super Senior class members.
Of great importance, we provide Wyoming senior women an opportunity to enjoy the company of other senior women, outside of the pressures of a sanctioned tournament as well as playing different courses each year. A second purpose of the tournament is to raise funds to award to a worthy charity in the host city. The decision on the award is up to the local tournament committee. | ||||||||||||||||||||
